flea infestation carpet::I signed a lease for an apartment in a complex 2 weeks ago for an aug 1st move in date.
There was no walk thru done of the apartment.
At the time i had seen the apt the carpet was being taken out and it was not yet painted.
I gave them my 1 month security and 1 month rent.
Saturday, when i went to the apartment to clean a bit before moving my stuff in i was getting attacked by fleas.
I called the super and first he said i could go get a flea bomb and i would be reimbursed on monday.
He called me back sat.
Night and told me he got the fumigator and was setting them off.
They fumigated the upstairs and downstairs apt because he said the lady downstairs had the flea infestation and that as of today there are no fleas and i can move in.
I feel very uncomfortable about moving in now.
Can they really do this?
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
